Well, that’s it for the unbeatens. The Lions beat the Vikings 19-15 on Sunday, and just like that nobody in the NFL is perfect anymore. The bigger news is in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson came back from injury, lasted one play, and hurt his thumb. Surgery is next. The Ravens were home favorites a few days ago and now they’re getting a pile of points on Thursday night. On our end, Week 8 went well, 10-4 against the spread, so I’ll take it. Steelers and Titans are off this week, which leaves 15 games. DraftKings lines as of Nov. 3.

Thursday, Nov. 5
Jaguars at Ravens — Jaguars -10
I’m not overthinking this one. Jackson is done for a while, Tyler Huntley’s toe is a question mark, and the guy who might start is an undrafted rookie who threw a pick against Buffalo last week. Jacksonville just put 42 on the Colts. Ten points is steep, sure, but I’d feel a lot worse backing Baltimore.
Sunday, Nov. 8 (Madrid)
Bengals vs. Falcons — Bengals -3
9:30 in the morning, in Spain. Fine. Cincinnati’s offense is humming (Burrow had six touchdowns against Tennessee, in overtime), and Atlanta just got blanked 16-0 by a Bucs team that didn’t complete a pass. Not a hard one. Bengals.
Sunday, Nov. 8
Broncos at Panthers — Broncos -2.5
Denver is 6-2 and I still don’t totally believe in them. Down 11 in the fourth quarter to Kansas City and they win anyway. Carolina is fine, I guess, but it got beat in Green Bay last week. Broncos, and I’m happy it’s less than a field goal.
Browns at Saints — Browns +1.5
This is more of a fade-the-Saints play than anything else. New Orleans is 2-5 and I can’t find a reason to give them points. Yes, Cleveland got smashed 27-6 by Pittsburgh. Short memory. Browns +1.5.
Cowboys at Colts — Colts +6
How do you blow a 14-point lead at home? Dallas found a way against Arizona, 33-30 in overtime, and now I’m supposed to lay six? The Colts are bad, 42-7 loss bad, but the Cowboys defense doesn’t scare anybody. Give me Indy and the points.
Giants at Eagles — Giants -3.5
Eagles fans have to be exhausted. Six straight losses now, the latest 27-10 in Washington. The Giants come in off a bye at 4-2-1, which is a sentence I didn’t expect to write back in September. Giants -3.5.
Jets at Chiefs — Jets +9.5
Mahomes got sacked on the final play after a false start wiped out what looked like the go-ahead touchdown. That kind of loss sticks with a team, and I think Kansas City wins this one. By ten, though? Eh. The Jets scored 33 last week, so they won’t just fold. Taking the points.
Lions at Dolphins — Lions -7
Lions are 5-2 and just ended Minnesota’s perfect season. Dolphins are 1-6. I’m not writing a novel here. Detroit by more than a touchdown.
Rams at Commanders — Rams -5.5
Rams 24, Chargers 9. Commanders 27, Eagles 10. Two decent wins, but I know which of those teams I’d rather be on, and it’s the one that’s been better all year. Los Angeles by a touchdown-ish.
Raiders at 49ers — 49ers -10
Las Vegas gave up 33 to the Jets and still won, which is a weird flex. San Francisco is rested off a bye and sitting at 6-1. Yeah, ten is a lot. I’m still laying it.
Texans at Chargers — Texans -4.5
Ugly game coming. The Chargers are 0-7, no wins at all. Houston is 2-5 and rested after the bye. If you want a deep reason to bet one of these teams, I’ve got nothing. Texans, and they’d better cover.
Cardinals at Seahawks — Cardinals +12.5
Seattle just got pushed around by Chicago, 34-17, and now they’re giving twelve and a half to a team that rallied from 14 down to win in overtime? No thanks. Cardinals +12.5.
Packers at Patriots — Packers +3
Basically a coin flip. Both teams are 5-3, and Green Bay played Thursday against Carolina, so the extra days help. Three points is a nice cushion, so I’ll take it.
Sunday Night, Nov. 8
Buccaneers at Bears — Bears -6
Tampa Bay shut out Atlanta and didn’t complete a single pass. Think about that for a second. Chicago just beat Seattle 34-17, with D’Andre Swift running for three scores, and gets a home game on Sunday night. Bears -6.
Monday Night, Nov. 9
Bills at Vikings — Bills -3.5
Two 6-1 teams on Monday night, and the road team is favored. Weird? Not really. Buffalo beat Baltimore 36-10, and Minnesota’s first loss came in Detroit last week. Bills -3.5, and I’m good with it.
